BooDoo
Changelog

17–23 August 2026

  1. Fixed

Example prompts on your first screen are no longer cut off

The example ideas shown when you first open BooDoo used to stop mid-sentence on your phone. They now show in full, so you can read the whole idea before you start building.

  1. Fixed

Apps that sign in by username now come with a working demo login

If your app was set up to sign people in with a username instead of an email, BooDoo previously created no demo account at all, so there was no way to sign in and try it out. These apps now get a real seeded account, so you can sign in straight away.

  2. Fixed

Your first app now builds with fewer failed attempts

Building your first app used to run extra checks that could fail and send the whole build through a slow repair cycle, even when the checks that actually mattered had already passed. Your first build now moves through fewer of these detours, so it finishes faster and more reliably.

  3. Fixed

Your app's demo login now works even if it creates its own test accounts

Some apps create their own test accounts as part of being built. This used to clash with the demo account BooDoo sets up for you, so you couldn't sign in to check your app. That clash is fixed, so your demo login now works every time.

  4. Fixed

GitHub connection problems now show a clear message

If connecting your GitHub account did not fully complete, BooDoo used to fail without telling you, and any error was hidden somewhere you would never see. You are now shown clearly what went wrong.

  1. New

You can now delete your account yourself

Closing your BooDoo account used to mean emailing support and waiting for them to do it for you. You can now delete your account yourself, right from your account settings, without waiting on anyone.

  2. New

Your app can now report installs from Meta ads

If you run Facebook or Instagram ads to get people to install your app, BooDoo can now pass along the information Meta needs to tell you which installs came from those ads. This works using a standard Android advertising identifier that matches installs to your campaigns.

  3. Fixed

BooDoo no longer asks how your app signs people in after building it

After your first build, a card in your workspace could still ask whether your app should sign people in with an email or a username, even though your first build had already decided this and built the sign-in screen to match. That repeat question is now gone, so you move straight to reviewing your finished app.

  4. Fixed

Your board no longer gets stuck behind one unfinished screen

Your project's board could freeze on a single sign-in screen that hadn't finished, even when twenty-one or more of your other screens were already done and ready to view. The board no longer waits on one screen like this, so you can see your finished screens straight away.

  5. Fixed

Your app's build status now shows in your own language

Even though BooDoo supports thirty-nine languages, the message telling you your app is building always appeared in English no matter what language you use. It now shows in whichever language your account is set to.

  6. Fixed

Your app preview no longer signs in as the wrong person

When previewing your app, BooDoo used to automatically sign you in as whichever account happened to be listed first, instead of the one you meant to test. Previews now show your app the way an actual visitor would see it, without picking a random account for you.

31 other changes — 12 to how apps are built, 6 to the platform, 4 to our own checks, 9 elsewhere. Nothing you would see.
